Standard
The standard membership subscription includes online access to the peer-reviewed journal Historical Metallurgy and the news magazine The Crucible, each published twice a year. The Crucible is not peer reviewed.

Concessionary (student, retired)
Concessionary members are persons under 18 or over 65 years of age or who are bona fide students to the satisfaction of the Council. The concessionary membership subscription includes online access to the peer-reviewed journal Historical Metallurgy and the news magazine The Crucible, each published twice a year. The Crucible is not peer reviewed.

Patron
A patron is a member who pays extra to support the Open Access project. The patron membership subscription includes online access to the peer-reviewed journal Historical Metallurgy and the news magazine The Crucible, each published twice a year. The Crucible is not peer reviewed.

Institutional
Institutional membership subscription includes hard copy of the annual volume issues 1 and 2 of the Historical Metallurgy Journal.
